Optimize Your Beauty By Being Body Positive

A positive body image is one that we should all strive for. This is when you know yourself and who you are. You have a very true perception of your size, shape, and weight. You see yourself as you are in the present. You accept yourself, even though you may be overweight. You believe in yourself and love yourself while still striving for something better. When you have a positive body image, no time is spent obsessing about food, weight, calories, exercise, etc. You are proud of who you are and feel comfortable in your own body.

Many people that suffer from binge eating disorder do not have positive body images. Instead, they have very distorted images of how they see themselves. Here are six ways to create a positive body image for yourself.

1. Create a list of people that you admire. Write down why you admire each person. As you are writing the characteristics you like, take notice of what you are writing down.

For example, let’s say that you have a high regard for Oprah. Your list might include her generosity towards people, her willingness to support what she believes in, and her strong character that went for success no matter what background she came from. You do not admire Oprah because of her looks; you admire her for the difference that she has made in the world. For her contribution to society. How she has touched and changed so many lives.

2. Remember a time in your life when you felt great about yourself.

Travel back in your life to a time when you were happy with your body. Maybe this was high school or college. Whatever the time, just close your eyes and remember how you felt. Let these good feelings radiate within you.

3. Write down what you like about yourself now.

Take out a piece of paper and write down everything that you like about yourself: your legs, your eyebrows, your smile, your hair, etc. The key here is to focus on the likes of yourself instead of the many dislikes. Start appreciating what you do like about yourself. This will make you feel better overall.

4. Notice how you carry yourself when you walk.

Do you walk with your head down looking at the ground? Do you slump your shoulders? Perk up! Start walking and making eye contact with people. Hold your head up high. Walk with your shoulders held back.

5. Start exercising.

If you haven’t exercised in a while, start off slow. Go for a walk outside on a nice day. If you are used to exercising, keep it up and change up your routine so that you don’t get bored. When you exercise you begin to feel good about yourself, even if it is for 15 minutes. Start off slow and work your way up.

6. Hang out with positive people.

Take a look at the people closest to you. Are they positive or negative people? Chances are if they are negative this attitude will reflect on you and your attitude. Try to limit your time with any negativity as this will only make you feel bad about yourself. You will focus on the things that you do not like about yourself.

Start feeling good about yourself and learn to accept yourself. Little by little you will notice changes that have occurred. Learn to be on your side instead of always being against yourself. Put your shoulders back and quit thinking about what you’re not. Love the person you are and the person that you are becoming!

As you consider a positive outlook about your body, try these 10 steps to looking younger. Even if you are young now, by following these tips you will see that you will be brighter in disposition and you will have a physically energized appearance.

These things combined will quickly make it easier for you to work with the trouble points you struggle with when you are striving for change in other areas of your life. You are laying solid groundwork for a better built path to a happier life. For each success you accomplish, you make reaching each goal after that much easier.

Try these 10 simple steps to further optimize your beauty by looking younger and more energized.

So even though some of us are already young, trying out these ten steps to look younger will add to our "body positive" outlook.

Ten Steps To Looking Younger

The secret of the youth has been searched for a long time. Many researchers have done some experiments to find ways to slow down the aging process.

There are some techniques which have been implemented, but the most important things for us to do are being consistent in implementing healthy lifestyle and eating habits.

We can’t stop the natural change, but we can still look younger if we want to work hard to slow down the aging process.

Therefore, I’m going to help you with 10 easy steps to make you look younger:

Detox – It’s important to start detoxification, getting rid of toxins from your body. Our body metabolism has done that process, but in everyday life we are exposed to so many chemical hazards from air, food and environment. Fasting or just consuming fruits and vegetables are ways to detoxify our body.

Sleep – Having enough sleep for at least 6-8 hours a day will make our skin healthier. Having a good sleep is also important because the body's  growth hormone is working during that time. It renews the old cells of our body, including the skin cells. Our skin will look fresh and young if we have enough sleep.

Food – Eating healthy and safe food everyday will make our body fit, slim, and also look younger. Try to eat more fish instead of red meat. Fiber foods, vegetables, fruits, and supplements are important foods to consume. Drink less coffee and other caffeine beverages.

Exercise – Through routine exercise, we will feel happier, energetic, and confident. It also increases our bone density and muscle which can make our body look 15-20 years younger. Besides aerobics, try walking and swimming. Also, try going to the gym to do lifting exercises.

Relax – By trying to be relaxed, your face will look younger. Stress and worries appear on your face. If we can manage our stress and feel at peace, our faces will look younger and more attractive.

Be Positive – The positive mind and affirmations we say, think, and feel can bring a positive life to us.

Negative thoughts tend to bring failure and make us look older and unattractive.

Meditation is one way to make positive thoughts.

Take a few moments of every day to analyze and plan your positive affirmations for that day. Spend time meditating each week and reflect on your thoughts. Plan ways to make your life better. Find out what your priorities are and how you should make your plan for success. Think carefully about the things you wish to attract into your life.

Visualize yourself as being happy. Try to feel what that might be like. Look around you to find the obstacles and plan your path during meditation. Plan statements of affirmation for your whole week. Say each affirmation for that day many times until you can feel the emotion and begin to believe it as true.

Truly enjoy every single success.

You will soon see that your hard work has made you stronger. Your goals will be easier to reach because you are no longer alone in the dark.

You have made a plan, followed your path, and then achieved every goal you set for yourself.

You are the winner! You are optimizing your beauty and every potential success!!

Medical Check-up – Just like a machine, our body also needs attention and care so it can work well everyday. Having routine medical checkups during our healthy time is important to recognize diseases as soon as possible.

Active Life – Always try to be active during your life. Activities can increase health; and if you are in your elder age, your memory will increase too. Strong body, strong brain!

Social Life – Happy social life can increase our spirit, bring a peaceful mind, and make us feel and look younger. Communication with our friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, and others can bring happiness to us.

Performance – Start to look at our performance. Is our body weight ideal for us? If not, try to fix that to the best ideal weight. Also look at the skin, hair, nail and teeth. Those are important as they will show our age. Looks good and feels good will increase our performance.
